Support & Techniques for Empowering People (STEP) Inc.

"For more than 30 years STEP has been an active leader in serving people with disabilities in several Montana communities. As a result we have been able to maximize community support for each person with disabilities and their families. In doing so, we also fulfill a very strong commitment to help those we serve to attain the greatest independence possible, while assisting them in: Finding and utilizing formal and informal networks and resources; Achieving their dreams and realizing their greatest potential; Actively participating in and becoming true citizens of their communities. STEP, Inc. is a non profit corporation that offers a full menu of home based services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families in 11 south central Montana counties. Services range from least to most restrictive for all age groups, and service delivery is always based upon individual strengths, needs and personnal choice.  Services are funded through state and federal dollars and are offered to eligible persons and families at no cost. STEP facilitates various activities designed to provide the public with general information about disability issues, and opportunities to get involved. Services include: Family Education and Support; Adult Services; Community Services; Day by Day Program."
