Sutter Children’s Center, Sacramento CA
Sutter Children’s Center, Sacramento, is a comprehensive pediatric medical center, which serves as the regional referral center for neonatal and pediatric care for more than 27 counties and 50 hospitals throughout Northern California, Southern Oregon and Northern Nevada.
We are the only medical center in the greater Sacramento area that offers on-site 24 hour board certified Pediatric Intensivists and Neonatologists. We also have 24 hour on call Pediatric Anesthesiologists. We embrace a philosophy of family centered care. Sutter Children’s Center, Sacramento has national recognition as a specialty children’s hospital.
The Children’s Hospital Association (CHA) recognizes Sutter Children’s Center, Sacramento as an associate member.
Pediatric Rehabilitation Services
Pediatric Rehabilitation Services treats a wide range of conditions including: Neurologic disorders, which may result from cerebral palsy, spinal disorders (including spina bifida), seizures,cerebrovascular accidents and traumatic brain injuries (see head injury, age 3 and younger or age 4 and Older). Developmental problems including speech and language delays and disorders, learning disabilities, hearing loss and auditory processing difficulties, oral feeding and swallowing impairments Loss of abilities resulting from burns, near drownings, bone, muscle, and joint injuries (sprains, strains, fractures);orthopedic or arthritic conditions Pulmonary disorders Services are provided through the clinic and through family education and home programs that ensure ongoing improvement. Areas of service encompass: Audiology Physical & Occupational therapy Speech-language pathology Referrals The Pediatric Rehabilitation Services is approved by the California Children Services (CCS).
