T.C. Harris School
Established in 2000, the T.C. Harris School is certified in Indiana to serve students from 6-21 who have intellectual, behavioral, emotional, speech, and neurological disabilities.
The Day School is located in Lafayette, but there’s also residential and group home programs. In 2015, T.C. Harris was chosen for the NASET School of Excellence Award. Funding is provided by local school districts.
Students who attend T.C. Harris School may reside on campus in our residential program, in a group home program, or may reside in their family home and attend our Day School Services.
Day school at T.C. Harris is designed for students who are able to remain living in their home, but who have difficulty functioning in their home school environment, despite the best efforts of the public school. T.C. Harris works closely with the student’s local school district to create a student-centered curriculum, with the goal of returning each student to their home school system following a successful period of therapeutic intervention and academic services. T.C. Harris offers a wide variety of comfortable, safe, and welcoming classrooms to accommodate the unique needs of our student population.
