Team of Advocates for Special Kids (TASK) is a nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to enable individuals with disabilities to reach their maximum potential by providing them, their families and the professionals who serve them with training, support, information, resources and referrals, and by providing community awareness programs. Initially, the primary focus was on children three to 21 years of age, but services evolved to include all ages, especially in the TASK Technology Center.

TASK serves families of children aged birth to 26 years of age under IDEA and other systems mandated to provide services to individuals with disabilities. As a federally-funded Parent Training and Information Center, TASK is part of a national network of centers providing similar services. TASK provides advocacy information, workshops and information in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

The TASK  TECH Center is a place for children, parents, adult consumers, and professionals to learn about assistive technology by providing hands-on access to computer hardware, software, and adapative equipment. Assistive technology is any equipment that can be harnessed by an individual with a disability to diminish or eliminate barriers to education or independence. TASK's TECH Center demonstrates a wide range of assistive technology solutions, ranging from "low tech" options like specialized pencil grips for people with fine motor difficulties to "high tech" devices like head-controlled peripherals that allow people without the use of their arms or legs to access the computer. The TECH Center has 11 computers, over 1,100 software titles, and a multitude of different types of adaptive equipment such as alternative keyboards, trackballs, mice and switches.
