Technology Assistance for Special Consumers T.A.S.C A Program of United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville and Tennessee Valley
Technology Assistance for Special Consumers. A Program of United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville and Tennessee Valley. Mission is to provide individuals with disabilities, their families and/or advocates, and associated professionals access to assistive technology devices and services to increase independence at home, school, and work.
T.A.S.C. became a non-profit organization in 1980. In 2005, T.A.S.C. partnered with United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville and Tennessee Valley (UCP) in order to ensure that clients had a variety of services available. As a partner, T.A.S.C. works with UCP's physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, special instructors, and the Childcare Enhancement with a Purpose (CCEP) training teams to enhance the provision of services.
T.A.S.C. is a program of UCP and relies on the community to help fund the program. Although we are affiliated with the Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) and are a Microsoft Accessibility Resource Center (MARC), T.A.S.C. receives no funding from any national programs (like United Way, National UCP) or product vendors. In order to be funded our program, we rely on grants and donations of all types and sizes.
