Welcome to Texas Special Children’s Projects, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 charity serving the special needs children and adults of Texas. The mission of Texas Special Children’s Projects, Inc. has always been to provide (at no cost to the participants) entertainment, recreational and activity programs to handicapped and special needs persons. In past projects, we have dealt with mentally disabled (e.g. Downs Syndrome, Autism, Alzheimer’s, etc.). Whether they are 3 or 93, they will always remain children of the Creator; hence the name – Texas Special Children’s Project. We have conducted handicapped visitations shows or events in the following cities in Texas: Longview, Galveston, Henderson, Ft. Worth, Texarkana, Center, Kilgore, Marshall and Conroe.

Texas Special Children Project offers primarily three types of service.
We do in-house programs, outside activities and recreational visits. Everyone likes a party or going on adventure. At TSCP, we understand that some people can’t do those activities on their own. That is where we come in. As a 501(c)3 corporation, we accept charitable donations to provide entertainment, recreation and enriching activities.

Inhouse program – Our staff and/or volunteers work directly with the activities directors inside hospitals and care centers. Many special needs people reside or are temporarily housed in these facilities. We organize musical sing along programs, themed parties and dances. These activities are usually monthly.
Outside activities – TSCP sponsors field trips and social events. We schedule these events at handicapped accessible locations. We sponsor four or more field trips (Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, TX, NASA Space Center in Houston, TX, etc.) a year.
Our special events (musical events, themed parties, variety shows, etc.) are sponsored approximately six times a year. Recreational visit – Our volunteers and staff go visit those who are incapacitated by their special needs.

These people cannot attend the other events so we go to them. We visit and provide individualized items for entertainment such as DVD players, movies, video games. The individual recreational visits and activities are determined on a case-by-case basis by the board of directors. If you are interested in offering your time or talents to any of these ser
