Chapter of Arc of Nebraska

 

The Arc of Buffalo County is a private non-profit organization which provides services and advocacy to people with developmental disabilities and their families. We provide information, support and networking to people with disabilities and their families through a quarterly newsletter, one-on-one contacts, group presentations and a variety of programs including: People First of Kearney; Support for an Ecumenical Sunday School Class; Free Respite at the Kidzone every 1st Thursday, 6-8pm; Key partner with Kearney Inclusive Recreation Project; KIRP – Recreation for people with disabilities of all ages; Arc at the Y on Fridays from 6:30-8pm; Buddy Bowling; Teens and Youth in Action; Individualized recreation and Respite for all ages; Dances, picnics, and outings. The Mission of the Arc of Buffalo County is committed to helping children and adults with developmental disabilities secure the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they live, learn, work, and play.
