The Arc of Mecklenburg County
Who We Are:
We are a well established network that connects people and families with developmental disabilities to community resources.
We create awareness and educate the community about developmental disabilities and associated intellectual impairments.
We lobby local, state, and national legislators to ensure the needs of people with developmental disabilities are met (i.e. education, housing, services, and funding.
We provide programming to educate and prepare people with disabilities for greater independence and social understanding.
We encourage empowerment and self-advocacy among individuals with developmental disabilities.
