"The Arc of Ohio is a statewide membership association made up of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, friends, interested citizens and professionals in the disability field. The mission of The Arc of Ohio is to advocate for human rights, personal dignity and community participation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, through legislative and social action, information and education, local chapter support and family involvement.

The Arc of Ohio invites any individual or organization of people with developmental disabilities, parents, friends and/or service providers, corporations or government entities, located and functioning in the State of Ohio, which supports the Mission and Core Values of The Arc of Ohio, but does not desire status as a Local Chapter. Associate members may not use The Arc logo, but may identify themselves as Associate Members of The Arc of Ohio."
