The Arc of Washington County, Inc

We are a non-profit service organization, chartered in 1961 and affiliated with the Arc of Tennessee as well as the Arc U.S.  Our agency is dedicated to promoting the growth of nurturing communities where all people have the opportunity to join in fellowship and valued contribution to family, friends, neighborhood, work, spiritual, and community life.

With the awareness that people should be the driving force behind their own services and determining what is needed and what is important,  Tennessee Division of Intellectual Disabilities Services is moving toward adoption of Principles of Person Centered Practices.  The Arc of Washington County supports people making choices regarding what services they need and want.  The Arc has adopted these principles and is working to implement these practices and methods of service planning and delivery.
