The Arc, Upper Valley is a membership organization made up of people with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities; their families, interested citizens, and professionals in the disability field. Together, they, from approximately 1,000 state and local chapters of The Arc are the largest volunteer organization in the United States devoted solely to working on behalf of people with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilites and their families. The Arc, Upper Valley promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
