The Children’s Therapy Center – Springfield & Sterling – Virginia
The Children's Therapy Center's mission is to provide quality occupational, speech and physical therapy services to the pediatric population in a family friendly, informal environment. It is our hope that all children and families will be treated with utmost respect, given excellent attention by a committed staff, and provided with personalized and individualized care.
We recognize that all children deserve to reach their maximum potential in order for happiness and contentment to be achieved. It is our intent to provide a few "Rays of Sunshine" to those who need our services.
Owner, Suzan Syron, has been a practicing pediatric physical therapist since 1973. She is trained in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and has advanced training in baby treatment. She is certified in the administration & interpretation of the Southern California Sensory Integration Test. She has been an adjunct professor at Marymount University, Master Program in Physical Therapy, and has taught pediatric courses at Shenandoah University and George Washington University. She has co-instructed several NDT certification courses, and has provided multiple presentations to physician groups and parent organizations.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Center – The Children's Therapy Center participates with many private insurance companies. The center coordinates speech, occupational and physical therapy services for those children who have recently been discharged from inpatient care, but continue to require ongoing intensive services. Team meetings by all professional are routinely scheduled in order to assess progress or revise treatment plans. Home visits are periodically scheduled so that assessment of Activities of Daily Living Skills (ADL) and adaptive equipment requirements can be monitored.
