The Howard School is a K-12 independent school for children with language learning disabilities and learning differences. At The Howard School, we believe that learning is a collaborative endeavor built upon trust, respect and communication. We believe in a curriculum that emphasizes depth of understanding over superficial breadth, with a teaching method that begins by detecting each students own “learning fingerprint.”

In our model, based on the latest research in neuroscience and child development, teachers respond to the individual learning styles of each student, focusing on the personal way each student acquires and constructs knowledge, and demonstrates understanding.
