The Krempels Brain Injury Foundation – Family Support Program
Krempels Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with brain injury from trauma, tumor or stroke. In partnership with universities and community volunteers, the Krempels Center offers programs that engage members in meaningful and productive experiences and provides ongoing support and resources to those impacted by brain injury.
Financial resource assistance is available to individuals living with brain injury and their families through sliding scale member fees, resource advocacy and referral, as well as small grants. To be eligible for a grant, applicants must show financial need and participate in the Community Program or Family Caregiver Support Group. As the Krempels Center is a funder of last resort, all other funding options are explored.Originally established as an emergency financial assistance program helping individuals and families in financial crisis as a result of brain injury, the organization’s programs and mission began expanding in 2000 to better meet the post-rehabilitation needs of people living with brain injury. Today, the Krempels Center has built a reputation for offering quality programs and services that contribute to new life after brain injury.
