Serving Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Since 2001 the Upper Peninsula Assistive Technology Center (UP AT Center) has delivered assistive technology solutions to Upper Peninsula residents with disabilities. We work with all ages and all disabilities. At the AT Center we help you choose the technology solutions that will maximize your independence. The Center is a program of UCP Michigan, and was originally funded by a grant from Michigan Rehabilitation Services and the Bellows Foundation. We have evolved over the years and now primarily work with the school districts in Upper Michigan. We receive funding from the Michigan Department of Education Office of Special Education/Early Intervention Services to provide services to Upper Peninsula Intermediate School Districts.
Loan Closet
UCP Michigan Assistive Technology Closet
The Center has a growing loan closet of devices for adults. Equipment has been donated or purchased through contributions from United Way of Marquette County.
Michigan Integrated Technology Supports (MITS)
The MITS Lending Library is available to school districts throughout Michigan. Software and AT equipment may be borrowed for eight week trial periods. Email: mitsloans@gmail.com
