TriMet provides bus, light rail and commuter rail service in the Portland metro area. Our transportation options connect people with their community, while easing traffic congestion and reducing air pollution—making our region a better place to live.
TriMet, serving the Portland, Oregon area, offers senior and disabled citizen transportation services. Such services include lift-equipped buses – paratransit services (LIFT Program) and reduced fares for disabled riders (Honored Citizen Program). TriMet has also established the Committee on Accessible Transportation (CAT), a citizen committee that meets regularly to advise the TriMet Board of Directors and staff on the transportation concerns and needs of people with disabilities and senior citizens.
