United Way of South Mississippi is one of almost 1,300 independent 501(c)(3) United Way organizations in our country.  We are a community building organization that raises funds and invests financial and other resources in long term solutions.  We are governed by a volunteer board of directors who live and work in South Mississippi.  Communities in Hancock County, Harrison County, and Pearl River County make up our service area.  United Way of South Mississippi works to advance the common good by concentrating on the most critical needs facing our community.  Today, more than ever, United Way is working to address the issues South Mississippians care most about.  We call it advancing the common good.
