The UNL Barkley Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic is located in the Barkley Memorial Center on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus at 42nd and Holdrege Streets. The Center was built with monies from the Barkley Trust established by William E. and Edna M. Barkley. Services for individuals with speech, language, hearing and other disabilities are available as a part of academic programs in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Services available include hearing evaluations, hearing aid selection, habilitation and rehabilitation for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing. The Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank is available to assist clients who need hearing aids but lack the resources to buy them.
 
  • The Clinic provides team assessment and treatment services for individuals of all ages with speech, language, and hearing disorders.  The clinic is also an approved service provider for special education and related services through the Nebraska Department of Education. School districts may contract with the Clinic to provide services for individuals birth-21.
     

Off-Campus Services
Clients are also seen for evaluation and therapy at off-campus sites by arrangement.
