Specializing in an individualized/differentiated curriculum for 25 years, Walbridge School targets the needs and interests of each student by offering: a very low student to teacher ratio ranging from four to eight students per class; small school setting that provides ongoing individual attention to developmental learning needs and a customized Student Learning Plan; experienced teachers who have received advanced education and training in a wide variety of teaching strategies and adaptations; access to an on-site reading specialist; an atmosphere in which everyone is valued, appreciated, and treated with respect. We also offer flexible, part-time options to support and enhance home-school learning programs. Our curriculum includes: Phonics-based Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Project Read; Making Math Real; Handwriting Without Tears; Multi-sensory and multi-modal teaching approach; Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Visual Arts, Music, PE, Health; Extended Learning; Study Skills.
