Washington State Special Education Coalition
The Washington State Special Education Coalition was formed in 1977 to bring parent and professional organizations together in a spirit of cooperation to share information, explore issues and effectively advocate for quality education for all children, particularily those with special needs in Washington State.
Guiding Principles
To identify the unmet needs of children and students 0-21 with disabilities so they can be fully involved and supported in programs & activities in Washington public schools. To provide a clear voice in support of appropriate assessment, individual programs, services, funding and training. To be a statewide volunteer public awareness force, providing decision makers with up to date information about special education.
