Since 1974, Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center’s mission is to improve the bodies, minds and spirits of children and adults with disabilities and/or special needs through the use of the horse in therapy and education. We provide weekly therapeutic horseback riding lessons as well as a number of programs that incorporate therapeutic riding.

All of our programs incorporate therapeutic riding and horsemanship and are designed to meet the needs of children and adults with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, communication disorders, emotional problems, social disorders, stress related issues, and adjustment difficulties, as well as those who wish to learn about horses and riding in a therapeutic environment.

Winslow offers therapeutic riding lessons continuously throughout the year and individuals may sign up for therapeutic riding lessons at any time. Individuals interested in Therapeutic Riding lessons may call the Winslow office (845) 986-6686 to schedule an evaluation. An evaluation allows our riding instructors to design a lesson plan that is tailored to each rider’s needs and goals. English, Western and adaptive equipment are available to provide a riding experience suited to each participant.
