In 2013 AFAR, Inc. (Adaptive Fitness, Athletics, and Recreation, Inc.), d/b/a The Ability Center recognized a unique opportunity to unite a group of Milwaukee, Wisconsin area adaptive sports teams into one collaborative adaptive sports entity. Known today as the Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association, Inc. (WASA), these entities will together provide greater access and opportunities to those in our community with a physical disability or visual impairment.
